21.12.2015 China’s pre-education market has a bigger room for development when compare with developed countries

In a majority of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) countries, education begins for most children before they are 5 years old. 84% of 4-year-olds are enrolled in early childhood education and primary education across OECD countries. On the other hand, 95% of 3-year-olds in Belgium, Denmark, France, Iceland and Spain are enrolled in early childhood education.

China’s early childhood education market is still cultivating. When compares with other developed countries, China’s market has a bigger room to grow.

 

The increase in child population benefits pre-school market

According to United Nations’ study in 2013. Asia’s population is 4 times of Europe and North America’s total.

The age group of 0-14 years old in Asia takes a larger proportion than the same age group in Europe and South America. In other words, Asia’s pre-school supplies’ potential market is broad and bright.

China’s birth rate exceeds 11.9% since 2000, and reached 12.37% in 2014. Thanks to the launch of two-child policy, the population of infant is expected to grow significantly.

With the increase of household income and urbanisation, pre-primary investment per head will increase and expand the market scale.
